Published Work

The business of nature photography involves various stages of personal satisfaction (along with plenty of frustrations). The thrill of getting close to wildlife or watching a glorious landscape unfold in amazing light. These are often fleeting moments of intense adrenalin-charged photography. After which comes the punching of the air, shot-nailing moment. Then maybe, some time later, sometimes years later that image is published. A moment to relive the experience and yes, be inwardly satisfied. For a minute or two at least!

Here you'll find some examples of my work in print.

2020VISION

2020VISION

by Mark Hamblin & Peter Cairns

2020VISION is the most ambitious nature photography project ever staged in the UK, aiming to communicate the link between habitat restoration and our own well being. Its message is captured in this must-have book, with foreword by TV presenter and naturalist Chris Packham.

For the first time, 20 of the UK’s top nature and wildlife photographers, along with filmmakers and sound recordists, have come together to tell an inspirational story about some of the UK’s ecosystems and the services they provide to us all, such as clean water, fresh air and productive soils.

The ten case-studies cover a range of contemporary predator issues such as bird of prey persecution, the plight of our rarest predator the Scottish wildcat, and the possibility of seeing wolves, lynx and bears back in Britain. This book also asks questions of the planet’s most efficient predator: us.
